ZinkWink is a browser hijacker closely linked to the malware CC Search. If the hard disk is infected with ZinkWink, some symptoms will be evident. For example, the browser will take you to insist on certain sites, you will see a lot of publicity and some applications stop working. There is some risk and for that reason you should only do this if you're comfortable editing your system, will find it easy to delete files in Windows.
Stopping ZinkWink processes:
Click on the Start menu, select Run.
Type taskmgr.exe into the the Run command box, and click "OK." You can also run Windows Task Manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE or CTRL + Shift + ESC.
Click the process tab and look ZinkWink processes.
Once you find deZinkWink processes, click the right mouse button on them and select "End Process (End Process)" to kill ZinkWink.
Deleting ZinkWink files in Windows XP:
Click on the Start menu (Start) of Windows, and click "Find (Search)"
A menu dialog that asks, "What do you want to search?" Click "All files and folders."
Enter the ZinkWink file name in the search box and select "Local Hard Drives."
Click "Search." Once the file is found, delete it.
